Friend's names in cell

Touchwood, god has given me a great ability to remember and recollect names at the precise moment. With due respect to all my friend's mentioned in this post, I would just say that more often than not we take our friend's for granted and give them names as per our whims and fancies.
What I have done is I have done naming ceremonies for all my friends and colleagues in my cellphone.
My best friend is 4Ever Urs because we both of us want to best friend's forever. You see my boss is energetic uncle, while my team members are zen 5734 simply because he owns a red zen car with the number 5734, while another friend and team member is saand which has got to do more on his physical size and appearance. A fellow team leader is showman named more so for his acting abilities. Two lovely ladies are aptly named fair and lovely and cute and lovely, while an ex colleague is called smiley just for the sake of the lovely smile she owns. And there's maddy yeah i have told her very often that I find her to be mad, mystery named this way for no special reason and there's badbade who can talk non stop without any special reason. A very good friend of mine has the habit of saying yok for the number one which actually would be ek, so that would definitely give me enough reasons to name her yok. The guys are tom cruise (obviously he is good looking), susegad (happy go lucky aaram se guy) And to sign off on a naming note there is dipsomaniac (loves his drink), diego maradona (football freak), stylebhai (one should see his eyewear collection), smoke (what's he without a cigarette), shaadishudha (simply because he was the first of my good friend's to be married), saare, lost in luv, fitness freak, true king, canco, thuss..., that thing re, mami, kit kotha, sweets nut and even a dushman duniya ka.
My wife has been named zita, riya, diya and let's see what other names I will give her in the near future.

What's in a name??

I have been very cranky as far as naming my son goes. I have myself laid down a very strict criteria for the name. There are various parameters to be taken care of. One is the name should be short. Secondly it should be different and less heard of. Thirdly it should have a very good meaning. Fourth criteria is it should be easy to pronounce and last but not the least it should rhyme with my surname.
The names my various friends have suggested are mentioned below:
Aarav, Advay, Akshaj, Akshit, Akul, Amogh, Arin, Arush, Aryan, Atharva, Ayan, Chirag, Eebhav, Hrishi, Kavin, Kushal, Mayank, Nishit, Parth, Pramit, Pratham, Pravir, Pravit, Pulkith, Raunak, Santrupt, Sarang, Shivum, Shivank, Skandha, Smaren, Swarit, Vineeth etc...

Its itne saare naam and confusions galore!!!

Enjoy name hunting Mr.Amit Shet and Mrs.Jyothi Shet, lage raho, that's all i can say with a lot of hope in my heart..

Coincidences

Talk about coincidences in life...I married my sweetheart on the 4th anniversary of my proposal to her, which incidentally turns out to be my birthday. I had the bhatji to remove muhurats in April or May 2007. Three dates popped up, April 21, 28 and 30th, the last mentioned date according to my respected bhatji was the most auspicious. So it turned out to be my shaadi (or as some people like to say my barbhaadi, my wife won't forgive me for this) on my birthday. If this a coincidence then please read along. My son was born on 24th September, 2008 which happens to be my dearest wife's birthday. And yeah, I didn't plan it that way. The delivery was a normal delivery and not caesarean like you might be inclined to think. But yeah once the gynaecologist suggested that October 3 was the due date for my baby, I did have a standing bet with my wife that my baby would be born on her birthday. And come to think of it, I indeed did win the bet.

Also, 24th September, 2008 happens to be the first anniversary of India's T20 World Cup win.

Maybe the Almighty is playing games with me considering my fascination for numbers, be it with dates, kilometre readings, calculations etc.

The Visiting Card

A colleague of mine once went to visit a customer. At the end of the conversation, my colleague got ready to leave but before doing so, he opened his visiting card holder to leave a card for the customer. Just then the customer got up from his seat, offered his profused thanks and said, "Thanks a lot for offering me one but i don't smoke."

True to my words

I say that...whatever I write in my blog are entirely my words. I have no intentions of hurting the sentiments or feelings of any person. I sincerely apologise if anything written here does offend any person. Big words from an entirely small and humble person. I am grateful to anyone who spends precious little time in their busy lives to read my writings...
